NAND flash chip using one of these two images, and then solder it on
to a Wii."

But, Bootmii image is 17696 bytes long. So I need to replace first 1081344 bytes with the 17696 bytes.

At the end, the image size will reduce. Is this correct?

Oh sorry ...forget to tell.

bushing gave me a Bootmii image to write in my NAND chip with Infectus 2.

If you have a complete image containing bootmii, just flash it to nand chip "as is" (you can use another wii backup with the same boot1)

Maybe these 17696 bytes are only the boot2 area for bootmii, you have to find the correct place to insert it.

Bushing is saying you have to flash "at least" the first 1081344 bytes for install bootmii into the console.
After that you will able to start bootmii and recover the console keys.

Thanks for the reply, Vola!

My have a backup from a working Wii extracted with bootmii. So, bootmii is already instaled in NAND?

So, the only thing i have to do is to use Infectus to write the nand to my broken Wii?? (if the same boot1)

P.S. Sorry for asking details. I just want to have my Wii working again.

Best regards
And Thanks Again!

Yes, of course. If it is a bootmii v0.1 or v0.2 backup you have to strip out the last 1024 bytes from the file,
with bootmii v0.3 you have 2 files already splitted.

Yes, before that read your current nand and compare the first kilobytes so you can check if boot1 is compatible.
Once you flash the new backup you will have bootmii installed, but note the console will not restore.
With bootmii installed you can do a backup from the bricked situation, extract the keys and convert the working
bakcup for your wii with betwiin
