wii bricked with bootmii as ios

hey

i was trying to install themes using mymenuify and when i restarted there is a message showing the system files are corrupted
i am on pal 4.1
any help would be appreaciated

Do you have Preloader, or Bootmii installed as Boot2? If not, read my post on this topic. It applies almost exactly to your problem.

hey thanks for replying, i do have bootmii installed as ios. i deleted the bootmii folder from sd card and downloaded another bootmii folder and tried to boot it but it just takes me to health screen then the message.

i read the forum and i just wanted to know how i can download the exploit on a game.
i dont know much abt wii

Bootmii as IOS provides no brick protection; it won't help you fix your wii.

In any case, you will need to install a chip to fix your wii. Did you trucha patch IOS 60 or do you have the Indiana Pwns save file on your wii? If not, you will have to autoboot an NTSC-U copy of brawl, which is not easy.

These are the exploits that I mentioned: Indiana Pwns and Smash Stack. However, Indiana Pwns will not help you unless it is already on your wii.

hey

i was just playing with my wii
and
when i press power the health screen comes and i press A and it goes to the sign "the system file is corrupt"
so i tried to hold the reset button while the health screen was on and pressed A and instead of the sign, the wii boxes sign came up then it goes back to the sign "the system file is corrupted". is that a good sign. can i use something else

i installed ios30 and system 290 then i pressed home and it restarted and now nothing shows up
cboot2 still loads but wiiremote dosent work

There is no need to make 5 posts in a row, the edit button is there for a reason. Also, please remove the link in your first post, as downloading Nintendo's official repair disc as the tutorial describes is illegal. And the the program that you mentioned in your last post is not supported here.

Back to fixing the brick. You must have Bootmii installed as boot2 if you are able to do anything, so fixing it will actually be quite easy. If you have one, restore a NAND backup.

If you don't have a NAND backup, it will be a bit harder to fix, but it can still be done. What version of IOS 30 did you install?

I know, but what version of IOS 30? It needs to be version 1040. The latest version (v2816) is a stub and will not allow the system menu to function.

Simply put, this means that you can run fakesigned code, such as a homebrew autoboot disc, from the system menu (including the rescue menu).

Since you have Bootmii installed as boot2, this makes no difference for you. Installing IOS 30 version 1040 should fix your wii. I do not know for sure since I am not very familiar with themes, but if this does not work, you may also have to uninstall the theme to fix it.

I have no idea what you want to burn on a disc, but no matter what it is, it won't work. Just use WAD Manager to install IOS 30 version 1040 and system menu 3.2e, or IOS 60 version 6174 and system menu 4.1e.
