Wii will power on, but no video output

Wii will power on, but no video output
January 14, 2010 11:02PM
I was downloading BootMii, and restarted the Wii, but now, when I turn the Wii on I get no video output whatsoever, and none of my Wii remotes can connect. What do I do?

If you have questions for me, please check this first to see if they are already answered. It is my post from another site. Thank you in advance

If bootmii was installed as boot2, that Would be why your wiimotes aren't connecting. Try tapping the reset button once, and tell me if your wiimotes connect then.

The Wii remote will turn on the wii, but no, after hitting reset once, i still can't connect a wii remote.

Make sure you have a bootmii folder on the sd-card when you power on the wii.

Try editing the INI file (can't remember the name, bootmii.ini perhaps?) and changing the video mode. Perhaps you have it on the wrong video mode and your TV can't display it, so you get black screen?

The bootmii folder is on the SD card which is in the Wii, and what exactly do I change in the INI file?

And no, the TV is in the correct input. That was the first thing I checked.

The only way to fix this is to use an Infectus to manually install Bootmii as boot2.

When you power on the wii with disk and sd card removed- does the blue led drive light flash 1 or 2 times?

The DVD slot only flashes blue once on startup, with or without the SD card.

As Bushing said (see link in first post) Bootmii/boot2 was never installed.
