Blank screen at startup, preloader installed but not working

Hi, I very stupidly ran the update that came with punchout and now my wii boots to a blank screen. Green light will turn on and I can turn it on from the wiimote. I have preloader installed but I cannot get it to boot to it, i have tried holding down reset when I turn it on.

Is there anything I can try or is my wii pretty much only useful for parts now?

sounds like your system menu file is corrupted. you cannot fix it without infectus and bootmii. sorry.

When you boot, try holding down POWER, RESET and EJECT.

Still nothing when holding all 3 buttons.


I assume that bootmii and infectus cannot be installed after a brick, right?

infectus is a modchip that can write to the NAND. so you can write bootmii to the nand then unbrick it

Is it the infectus2 that I need?
Will any other mod chips work, i seem some solderless ones out there.
Where is the best place to get one?
