Wii PAL system updated with NTSC firmware...

Hi

have a Wii that has wiikey 1 updated to 1.9s. this is a PAL system.
I did the stupid thing and got Wii sports resort NTSC version and let it update my system (silly, I know)
Now it is semi bricked or bricked, and I have not installed HBC or Twilight hack.
I can play some games but I cannot enter the system settings.

Is there any other way than to wait for a newer firmware than 4.0 or 4.1 (I am not sure what version Wii sports resort did upgrade to)?

Can I use some autoboot disks?
Can I install HBC when my wii is in this state?

Wii Sports Resort upgraded you to 3.4

You can try updating to 4.1 to see if that will fix the problem. Be warned: It's likely it may not. (But I think it will)

(Maybe wait for a few more opinions before you do anything)

I'm pretty sure what Arikado said is right. Be warned: Don't update to 3.4 through Wi-Fi.
I think that the 3.4 menu for PAL systems has a higher version number than that of NTSC systems. Try getting a copy of Wii Sports Resort in your region and updating.
