You seem to have a banner brick, which is usually caused by installing a custom channel with a bad banner. If this is the case, use AnyTitle Deleter or a WAD installer to remove said channel.

First off, use DOP-Mii to install a System Menu and it's IOS.
System Menu 4.2 uses IOS70
System Menu 4.0 - 4.1 use IOS60
System Menu 3.4 uses IOS50
System Menu 3.2 - 3.3 use IOS 30 and that's as far back as you should go.. I suggest you install whichever menu version you had before. If you don't know, you should install 4.2 and IOS70/
Remember to do the right region [4.2U is US/North America, 4.2E is Europe/Australia, 4.2J is Japan]
If your Wii doesn't boot after this then it may be a banner brick or something else.
DOP-Mii supports Gamecube Controllers so you should have no problems there

If the brick was caused by installing a theme, this is the best way to fix it. However, don't do this if the brick was caused by installing a bad channel WAD, as it won't help. Anyway, I assume you have system menu 4.2, so it is best not to install an earlier version (doing so can cause a full brick later, although there is a way to prevent this, there is little reason to downgrade).

Yeah, use DOP-Mii to install 4.2E System Menu.
When you do this, you will get a semi brick. To fix it, you must use AnyRegion Changer to change the console area setting to PAL.

The opera error is a semi-brick.
Change the area settings with AnyRegion Changer

I think you may need IOS35 and IOS36 with patches for AnyRegion Changer.. Not sure though
Re: GC autoboot disk

AnyRegion Changer will launch without IOS 35. However, if necessary it will install a temporary IOS which, if I'm not mistaken, is a patched version of IOS 35. I'm not sure if it downloads this from NUS or uses the one already installed on the wii. In any case, AnyRegion Changer does not require the trucha bug in IOS 35 (I once though it did, based on someone's misreading of the source as described in another topic; however, I have since verified that it does not) . As long as you have the trucha bug in IOS 36, nothing else needs to be patched.

Still, I don't know what is causing the issue with AnyRegion Changer. This may be able to fix it, but I'm not sure.

This doesn't belong here. Either way, I don't believe in any god, nor would I care to.
