cant access wii settings, im new

need help with my wii. had a person hack my wii and install homebrew and all emulators for me. I have no idea what he did or why or how any of it works. had it done 2 months ago. I am now trying to access wii setting from the menu and I am unable to. on the main screen I click on the wii symbol on the bottom left, then click on wii settings then the screen goes black and nothing works. and I must cold boot the wii to get it working again. how can I fix this so I can access the wii settings again?

Looks like a semi brick. I'm not really experienced with solving these sort of bricks, and I think I'm the only active member left here :P

I have the same problem except it tells me my system files are corrupted. You could try removing all savegame and channel data temporarily and then try settings.
