3.4 and chipped but dvd iso is only beta 8. I need beta 9 or higher right? is 1.01 available as an iso somewhere?

You can upgrade the HBC from beta 8 to 1.0.1 via an internet connection after you have the HBC installed. At time of writing, I'm not aware of any official HBC iso's other than the beta 8 iso.

If I burn the iso to a disc and try to load it I get "the system files are corrupted. Please refer to the wii operations manual for help troubleshooting" On [hbc.hackmii.com] it says "!! Only works on systemmenu <= 3.2 and requires a modchip !!" and I am on 3.4u, so the only way to load HBC is by the twilight hack?

Yes, you'll need an SD card, a copy of twilight princess, and the twilight hack.
