8 or 16 GB card?

Does the Wii or any of the HB software have any limitations on what kind of SD card? I'm getting a 16GB for dirt cheap and wanted to know this before I actually go and pick it up.

We're compiling a list of cards that do and dont work here: [www.wiibrew.org]

If your card isnt listed, its anyones guess wether or not it will work. (However, there are 32gb cards people say work so, I dont think theres a size limitation)

On the off chance that it doesnt work immediately, try formatting it FAT (AKA FAT 16). But it will most likely as soon as you try it. Good luck :D

So the PNY 16GB HC card doesnt support HBC.

I've reformatted 100 times and cant get any apps to show up. Any ideas ? I can get my games to work from the SD card but no apps to show up. My 2gb card works fine. My other apps on the Wii dont see the the apps or .dol or elf files on the card, only the stuff in the 'private' folder.

any ideas to get this to work ?

Also, if someone can update the Card list to show that the PNY 16GB HC card has been tested with HBC and does not work, and TP - didnt try

so a modder friend of mine who does 360s and PS3s says my problem might come from HBC not being compatible with my card since the Wii can se the card... which makes sense, since its software and in the PC world it would just be updating/installing drivers.

now with that said, couldnt HBC be updated to work with HC Cards ? IMO it would make sense to update HBC to be able to read more HC cards now that the Wii is supporting them. Im not a programmer so I dont know how hard it would be to do this, and Im sure its on someones list of things to do...

The latest version of the HBC does work with most (if not all) SDHC cards.
