Protected Files for Menu 4.0?

According to the wiki page about the Wii System Menu 4.0: One of the downsides is:

"Save files that have copy protection, that were copied to the SD card through any previously patched system menus, will NOT copy back."

I have no idea what this is talking about. I want to update to System Menu four, and this is the only warning that confuses me. Could someone explain it?

If you copied a save (using homebrew) that otherwise has copy protection (i.e. SSBB, Mario Kart Wii, Animal Crossing CF) you can't copy it back

So, you mean save files I've previously saved on my SD card? or is it something totally different relating to only the Homebrew Channel.

Only the saves that are not supposed to be copied (like the ones listed) won't copy back to the Wii; other saves are fine

FYI, its very easy to get around this and make those saves work again.

hows that? Is there a homebrew app that puts the saves back?

Use Savegame Extractor and Savegame Installer to manage the protected saves.

If I recall correctly, those don't work with saved copied from the system menu...

preloader will remove the save copy flags (what wont let you copy) hard to get on 4.0 though
use startpatch v4.0.4 MOD it will have all the hacks of preloader plus ease of use and safer (and is meant for 4.0)
