Restoring Old Nand

alright so i backed up my wii on 4.0 and say (just in theory) i updated to 4.1 and accidentally bricked on 4.1.
if i restored my 4.0 backup would there be any conflicts
just wondering (with the 4.1 update so close)

Do you have bootmii as boot2? Then no, nothing will conflict (I don't believe.). I've backed up and restored lots of times, and never had a problem.

Nope. the Nand backup is an EXACT copy of the NAND, right down to the message board and saves. just remember that you will lose your "new" saves, so backup regularly. There's not much chance of bricking on 4.0 anyway, but unless you have bootmii it's a B**** to recover.

yeah i have bootmii/boot2 and it is easy to use so no worries right?

Yes. simply click on the "Restore" icon, follow the insructions and in less than 5 minutes your wii is good as new :-)

No Wii firmware update will ever brick you. Theory disproved.
