new wii (8/10/09) can i install homebrew

would like to know if i can install hbc and hackmii? to use geco codes. so i can get in to this homebrew stuff it looks like a fun way to get ore out of my wii. any help would be nice. my serial #lu660177905 with a number4 in a box at the end

There are so far no confirmed reports of any Wii's that are unable to install the Homebrew Channel or DVDX.

The only thing you must not do is downgrade or install cIOScorp or other fail. And don't follow fail "softmod" guides. Most of these will brick LU64+ wiis because they involve downgraded IOSes, and somehow LU64+ Wiis brick if they have downgraded IOSes installed. At least, thats what they say on GBAFail.
