4.2u Bootmii

used both smashstack and indiana-pwns to install homebrew channel on 4,2u .it loads i press 1, then it says this installer can not continue! there is no known vulnerable IOS installed on this wii. im using a older will that was updated to 4.2u. what do i do next.

Hi guys.

I need a bit of help. I downloaded and updated the HBC via the online update, ran the new HBC channel, the DVDX installer and bootmii as boot2 before I updated my wii to 4.2E. Everything seemed to go well as when I restarted the wii the HBC was still there but nothing in there will run and the wiimote disconnects then. My backup loader won't run either. I updated it (stupidly) from 3.2. Has anyone any ideas what I have done wrong and how I could fix it?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You have probably never synced the Wiimote(s) with the Sync button on the front of Wii and on the battery cover of Wiimote.

Pretty sure I have, The wiimote is fine until I try to run anything in the HBC then the screen goes black, system is hung and has to be turned off. My backup loader does the same thing. I tried to press home on the HBC to go back and install bootmii again but that option isn't there when I do that.

Backup loaders ain't supported here. The IOS what the apps seem to use is probably busted or something.

I know that backuploaders aren't supported here but I was using it as an example of how nothing works.

Any ideas on what I need to do to get the HBC etc working again.

Try installing a completely unpatched IOS61 with DOP-IOS Mod and reinstall HBC.

Not really sure if that'll work, I'm still on 4.1, but I have noticed that most of HBCs are installed on 61.

Nope, just ran the HBC updater online, installed it and bootmii to boot2. It seems to have prevented HBC from being deleted by the update but I can't run anything, including wad manager so not too sure how IU can install a new IOS
