I am not for sure but I don't think you will go from 3.1 to 3.2, I think you will go all the way up to 4.2, which is current updated system menu now.

Just go up to 4.2, and yes, updating online will take you to 4.2.

If you want to update to 3.2, use AnyRegion Changer to install system menu 3.2 for your region. Do not change any region settings. This will install all appropriate IOSes, so there is nothing else you need to do.

This has only a very slight risk of bricking your wii, but you may as well install Bootmii as boot2 and make a NAND backup first.

Seriously, do this.

There's no real advantage of 3.2 over 4.2

I was at 3.4 and went to 4.2 there is no big difference only thing I noticed is you can access the sd card menu on the system menu screen rather than go through the settings. And if you get ahold of a game that wants an update to 4.2 it will keep asking for it unless you run it in gecko os, so you may as well go all the way to 4.2.

Thanks :)

But in all seriousness, there are advantages of 4.2 over 3.2 but none the other way around.

Oh well that makes perfect sense [/sarcasm]

Just update to 4.2 via an official update. It's quicker, easier and will result in more features such as SD menu and System Menu SDHC support.

however it blocks some homebrew stuff that i have (not aloud to mention) to protect my origonals of games. 3.2 is the last one that i know it works on.

Everything works on any System Menu (even warez fail) so I don't know why you still insist on going to 3.2.
To protect your originals I suggest you put them back in their cases when you are done with them.
AnyRegion Changer will work for updating to 3.2 so your problem is solved.
