Homebrew dangers

I am really skeptical of getting homebrew on my wii because I am afraid it will destroy my wii like some games stop working..etc. What are the dangers of installing homebrew? Would it be likely my wii will stop functioning properly? Can I still do it at 3.4U if I ever consider it? I want to hear some fail stories.

1. Homebrew it self will not harm your Wii. Only if you abuse or misuse some of the applications that require HB to install.

2. Games will not stop working, again only if you misuse the apps

I dont have a fail story, I dont use the other applications like Gecko, patchmii etc... now you can take the risk of pirating games and that CAN brick your wii and/or ban you from online play

you may be just trying to scare people, but pirated games won't get you banned sadly... (online cheating on the other hand...)

what do u mean by pirated games,?
roms emulators, ect?

pirated games are illegally copied/downloaded games. the only way you can get banned is for cheating online
