This Only works If you had HBC before and deleted it before of after the update. What I did was use twiligh hack on my friend's Wii and got his Data.bin file to my SD card. And after I just went to SD Menu and the Channel Was there. Wooot! :D

Yes, but you can't run the HBC from the SD Card Menu nor can you copy the HBC from the SD Card to the Wii's System Memory.

Proof and ill believe you. :D And i would like to hear a more detailed explanation.
Re: I INSTALLED HOMEBREW CHANNEL ON 4.0!!

That only worked because he deleted the HBC through channel management. This left the ticket and TMD on his Wii, which allowed him to copy the channel that he retreived from his friends Wii back onto his. As Arikado said, his Wii wasn't virgin. This leaves the question of why he deleted the HBC in the first place. Go ahead, try that on a virgin Wii (or one where the HBC was deleted with ATD) and I guarantee it won't work.

By the way, when you say "virgin" 4.0 Wii, do you mean a Wii like mine that has never had Homebrew installed before and has 4.0 menu firmware? Sorry about my n00bness and all since I'm new here and to Homebrew...

@nintendude: exactly. a "virgin" wii was never deflowered by homebrew.

I deleted HBC before updating it to 4.0 and After it was Updated, I added it again.

So that means your Wii wasn't a virgin like we've been saying. Similarly, its impossible to move the HBC from the SD to the Wiis Memory on 4.0 (even if it was installed on a lower firmware) unless you've done some serious low level IOS hacking.

Otherwise this would be an interesting case.

Erm, have you read anything anyone posted in this topic?

Edit: Heres a (crappy) demonstration of what I was talking about before: [www.youtube.com]

Yeah, but I believe the topic at hand is to see whether or not NL_Link installed Homebrew on a virgin 4.0 Wii console. Plus, he wasn't able to copy it from his SD to the system hard drive...

Alright, let me understand some terminology here: what does "deflowering" mean?

from wikipedia - the virgin encyclopedia:

Analogies relating to virginity

The sexual partner during the loss of virginity is sometimes colloquially said to "take" the virginity of the virgin partner. In some places, this colloquialism is only used when the partner is not a virgin, but in other places, the virginity of the partner does not matter. The term "deflower" is sometimes used to also describe the act of the virgin's partner, and the clinical term "defloration" is another way to describe the event.
