data not appearing on sd card

Im attempting to use the hackmii installer without the zelda.

I formatted my card
copied the private folder over
loaded the installer.elf

verified the sd contents via the pc, however when i put it in the wii, the card appears as empty..

any ideas

Make sure you are clicking channels and not save data

I think i found the problem. Hackmii is using beta2.elf currently, and appears to have some issues with some sd cards.
I found beta1.elf on another site.


i downloaded it and appears homebrew is loaded.

there is a logo of the earth at the bottom right, and it blinks..

is it trying to reach my wireless net to update?

Did you rename it to boot.elf?

I got it to work once, but cant remember what i did...

now when i open the homebrew channel on the wii...it just stays on the bubble screen. cant remember how i was able to get the list of apps. Now i cant seem to get that to work.

are your apps in a folder named "apps" on the root of your sd card? With every app in its own folder within "apps"? And each app has a boot.dol, an icon.png and a meta.xml? Check all those things.

icon.png and meta.xml are optional, not necessary.

i thought HBC wouldnt boot apps without them? Well, thanks for the info.

They will load. they just look odd...
