Auto-Update

I know this has been discussed to death. I just want to be sure that there is absolutely no way for nintendo to auto update wii's on 4.1. (As the 4.0 update had a change in the EULA) But can they.... legally?

EULAs are not a substitute for local law. So, in most places, no.

So they give themeselves the right to but lawfully can't?
Well I suppose that due to random power outages, an auto update mechanism could brick a lot of people.
Thus creating some huge law suits... Well it's good to know that we are safe from nintendo bricking us.

Pretty much. Add that to the fact that there is no mechanism to auto-update and there really is no reason to worry.
