Is it safe to Install IOS249 on 4.1U?

Hey, I'm still kinda newbie but I was looking around wiibrew wiki and this forum but I'm not exactly sure if this could get me bricked or not. I have HBC installed to the latest version, but I can't install DVDX because I get an Error -2011, which I was told was due to my higher system version (4.01U). I was told to downgrade to 3.2 but was also told it could brick my wii if done incorrectly. So I found this (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/CIOS_Patchmii_Installer) which would download and patch the IOS36 from Nintendo to create IOS249. I am wondering if I run this on HBC, is there a chance my wii could be bricked (more so than in any other case)? And in case I am wrong, would IOS249 help my DVDX situation?

Just run the HackMii Installer and DVDX will install just fine. You're trying to use an outdated version of dvdx.

thank you Arikado :), but one more newbie question? Does it require the twilight hack to run or can I use the HBC?

You wouldnt have been able to use that cIOS installer any way. And downgrading guides are generally illegal, or at least unsupported here. They are also generally full of fail and you should avoid them. There is no real need to downgrade for homebrew, most people who downgrade do so for piracy.
