Can HBC Load From USB if SD is in slot?

Hey again guys,

I've been enjoying watching DVDs and other divx-type files on my wii since you guys last helped me, but I have come across one more problem... My Wii usually has issues with my SDHC card because at times it fails to read the applications in the homebrew channel. I have found a way around this because it always seems to work fine when using a USB key, now that its supported. I successfully have installed bootmii (the latest one) and that does require an SD card. So I was wondering, since I find myself constantly getting up and taking out and putting in the SD card, is there a way to make the USB the primary loading for the homebrew channel instead of the SD card? It will still load nothing that is on the SD card over files on the USB. Thanks for your time :).

if there are no apps on the SD (empty non-existantant apps folder) HBC will jump to USB. (I think)

it doesn't for me, and I have the latest version of HBC =(

I believe it only loads from USB when there's no SD card in the slot
