well, the fact that my serial number begins with LU34 and I run Bootmii as boot2 makes me believe they didn't =D

EDIT: And even better, I'm not 100% sure, but I don't even think it's the same console I had (although I could be mistaken, I don't remember my old serial number, but when the Bootmii checker came out, I remember having an f01e boot1, and iirc, that's the first run of the fixed boot1)

EDIT2: I'd run the Bootmii checker right now to see if I have an f01e right now, but seeing as how I'm of 4.1U, I don't think that'll happen

I have no idea, but I'm about to try the BootMii/boot2 without an installed HBC, lemme just go get my bare-bones homebrew NAND dump ready


EDIT: Yep, independent of each other, only downside is if you select the homebrew channel, you'll lock your wii up with a black screen.

Either way, I still see no reason to install Bootmii without the HBC present
