startpatch 4.1E problems

okay well ive installed preloader and bootmii and everything, since im using an SDHC card to hold all my stuff and preloader cant read them im trying to use the systemmenu hacks that startpatch offers, however whenever i try installing any of the hacks i get an error saying
"patch section cannot be found in the dol, there is nothing to do"
something like that, i downloaded my copy from the wiibrew wiki, does anybody have a working copy?
im on a 4.1E wii if that helps

I'm pretty sure you have to install Startpatch before Preloader. (Preloader move the System Menu dol, so startpatch can't find it).

Why do you want Startpatch? You already have preloader. all you need is a 4.1hacks.ini

metrid, preloader cant read SDHC cards, so i'd have to use my old SD card every time i wanted to use a hack wouldnt i?
or do the hacks work if you enable them then remove the SD card?

No, the hacks get saved to the NAND with preloader. You only need the SD to modify the hacks list.

wait, if i installed the hacks through preloader then made a nand backup with bootmii, the hacks would still be installed yes?

Yes, the hacks are saved in the "shared2" folder inside the Wii.
