I own a Korean model Wii and want to install other applications on it. Will mods work on it?

It depends of your definition of "mods". The homebrew channel can be installed in any Wii. That's all you need to know.

So I can still install the Homebrew Channel even if my firmware is a Korean version?
EDIT: I think I'm running System Menu 3.5 (since I have updated only once during April-July of 2008).

To find out your system meny go to the settings menu and look at the upper corners. If you are running 3.5 it seems like twilight hack is your only option (or so it says, I have never seen a korean wii so...). 4 days ago I would have adviced you to update and use bannerbomb but with the current situation you should try to get a twilight copy and run twilight hack to run the hackmii installer.

I checked, and I am currently running System Menu 3.3K. It's probably a Korean translation of the original 3.3.
What homebrew can I run on it?

You can run lots of homebrew.....Not really anything specifically.

Edit: Do you mean you want to know how to install it? See this.....
