New to Wii hacking need help...

Okay I'm experienced with hacking things (PSP, G1, etc) and so when I read about how easy it was to hack my wii I was like why not give it a try. So I've been trying this - [wiibrew.org]
It says I can do it on my Wii even though it's at 4.2U, and it's a launch Wii. But every time I insert my SD card in it freezes, and I've tried reformatting the SD card, and everything and nothing works. I need help. Thanks in advance.

NAND - boot2 = what you're backing up

Okay so I want to use my 16GB SDHC so what format does it have to be in? FAT32, FAT, or what? and how do I get back to that menu to back it up to my SD card?

Im pretty sure your card will just work by default. What menu?

I'm not sure what it's called, but it booted up before the wii menu and now it doesn't boot up.

I would call it the recovery menu the menu where you can backup the boot2 and restore the boot2

Every time I try to launch the HBB from my 16gb it always says trying to mount to sd card and it fails but when I try to run it from my 2gb sd card it mounts fine.

Maybe because that 16 GB SD card is not supported. Also the menu is called Bootmii and I suggest you find some way to make the 2 GB card have the required files (by either reinstalling or just copying the required files.)
