A few questions before installing homebrew -HelP!-

Hey, I am competely new to this and before I install I have a few questions to be safe =)

I am installing using hackmii and the Smashstack method.

I am using a 4.2U (NTSC) wii.
Big questions:
-Can I still update my wii without trouble after homebrew is installed?

-Is there a chance of bricking before I get a chance to backup my NAND?


also, is it possible to backup wii channels, and are the homebrew apps turned into channels or are they all loaded from the homebrew channel

Yes you can update if you have HBC. There is almost ZERO chance of bricking just by installing the homebrew channel. It has never happened. You can backup your Wii Channels by simply moving them to the SD card...

There is a way to have apps as channels but it is somewhat risky and only for experienced users of wii homebrew.
