SD Card Menu and HBChannel

Would it be safe for me to move my HBC over to my SD Card Menu?

UPDATE: Let me be more specific.

I mean moving it with the Wii's Data Management settings, and then booting it from the SD Card Menu.

Unless you have trucha in your system menu IOS, then you wouldn't be able to launch it from the SD menu.

If you have trucha bug in System Menu IOS, this will work fine (for 4.0/4.1, this is IOS60. For 4.2 it is IOS70).

Otherwise, it will copy but will not run, and cannot be copied back but must be reinstalled via an explit and hackmii installer.

Well, I can just move my VC games, and other WiiWare apps to the SD Card! :D

That is because those are official channels not fake-signed ones. The HBC is a fake-signed channel.

That makes sense now, I saw someone do it on a YT video, wondering if it might help me.

If you don't have trucha, you can get it by using this. Then you could launch the HBC from your SD card menu.

But if, and only if, your System Menu IOS (60 on 4.0/4.1, 70 on 4.2) supports Trucha.

Its easier to do with dop-IOS MOD. You first select "Install an IOS that accepts fakesignatures for me", and let it do its stuff, then select to run on IOS36 and then choose to install IOS60 or IOS70 depending on System Menu, and when asked if you want to patch it, say yes (press A). After that, you can run fakesigned channels (i.e. HBC) from SD Menu.

You have to manually update/install your System Menu IOS every time for this to keep working.
