New Super Mario Bros Wii question

I've heard of some arguements between NSMBW and the Homebrew Channel. I currently have 4.2U with the HBC installed (just that, not BootMii/DVDx), and I was planning on getting NSMBW. Is it safe to load it from the Disk Channel with 4.2U?

It is always safe to load from Disc Channel, but if you are on 4.1 or below, and/or have an older version of boot2, it'll ask you to update. The update is safe anyway, but provided you updated to 4.2 through Nintendo and not some "safe" updater, it will not prompt you to update.

I already said I'm at 4.2 U with just the HBC.

I know you said you're on 4.2, that's why I said it wont affect you.

I do have 4.2U, and the game is still asking for an update. Will I lose HBC if I update through the disc?

It's the update for boot2v4. It will erase BootMii if you have it installed but you can easily reinstall it.

Ok, I installed the update, I still have HBC. I tested it by loading up the NES emulator and Battletoads. It only froze for a second before leaving the emulator, but it's good now.
