Try using Trucha Bug Restorer to patch IOS 36. Then run Dop-IOS Mod again on IOS 36.

Ok I will try it, but it sounds confusing, does run like dop mod? I have read both the wiki and the read me file, but on the wiki it talks about needing the wad files for the IOS's and must be put on the sd card. Do I need those? And one last question does this TBR go in the apps for HBC and install from the HBC?

Dop-IOS Mod's trucha bug restoring feature came from Trucha Bug Restorer, so it should be very similar. You only need IOS WADs if your wii is not connected to the internet. Otherwise it will download the necessary IOSes from NUS.

You run Trucha Bug Restorer just like anything else. Set up your SD card like this: SD:\apps\Trucha Bug Restorer\boot.dol. Then you can launch it from the Homebrew Channel.

Ok my wii is connected to internet so I will be good there.

Ok that didn't seem to work either, I got it to downgrade IOS 15, it exited back to the loader on HBC, opened it back up, and with step 2 in the wiki, and it got a tcp timeout error, tried again, got connected, but then it displayed a error a bunch numbers and letters, stack dump with some jumble of stuff, code dump with jumble of stuff, and that was it.

EDIT: something I thought of, what about loading gecko os, and try running a game from there to see if it would work, or would still give the same problem since its coming from the disc drive?

I don't know what is causing the problem with restoring the trucha bug. You can try loading the game with Gecko OS. It will either fail to load, or it will tell you that it needs to install an IOS for the game and offer to install it. If it offers to install the IOS, let it install it and the game will work properly, whether you load it from Gecko or the disc channel.

Well gecko os didn't work either it got as far as checking the disc, then stop and locked up after saying could not find cheat codes to sd.

Could you please try to reinstall the Homebrew Channel?

This will help us.

I have the HBC installed and working. Unless you want me to uninstall and reinstall it.

You don't even need to uninstall it, just try to launch the HackMii Installer.

Ok I got it uninstalled and then reinstalled, at the top of HBC it says it running on IOS 61 v2129 if that would help with anything. I also can post the hackmii installer log if that you help as well.

Okay. The IOSes look normal, so I can't see the problem.

It's because you forgot to update BootMii.

Thats kinda hard to because 1. I don't have bootmii installed, 2. I can't install bootmii on my wii it will only install as a IOS and does no good, 3. I don't see what bootmii would have anything to do with the problem I am having.

Yeah, it doesn't really have anything to do with your problem. This user has been kind of spamming the forums recently.

To finish up this topic, I have now fixed my disc channel issue thanks to you guys, I went through and installed all IOS's unpatched, and somehow that fixed my problem, do not know which one fixed it, but I am happy now, I get to play my disc games. Thanks for keeping with me and getting this fixed.

If you had the exact issue like I did, it can be fixed mine was a previous own wii but I had suspicion it had stuff not allowed in discussion on this forum caused some of my problem, but after battle it was fixed. What exactly is wrong with yours and what is it doing with the problem?

Also try this thread I had wrote as well it may help some as well as reading through this thread from the begining.
