HBC and disc channel won't load after 4.2u update

Whenever I load the disc channel and insert a disc it gives me an error stating that I should check the manual for troubleshooting... but it appears the drive does not function at all not in gecko os or mplayer or anything... any suggestions?

Sounds Like the drive is messed up giving you the error, If it was like my problem was the disc channel wouldn't load it be a black screen. I know this sounds like a dumb question but are you sure you are putting the disc in the right way and its not scratched up?
