Downloaded game via the HBC wont work

I downloaded a game via the HBC and it wont load just flickers up with text on a black screen then goes back to the HBC can anyone help...

Make sure you remove any external devices, AKA rockband controllers, GC controllers/memory cards, etc.

I try that see what happens. Thanks
