Need help installing BootMii

Hello. While I have successfully installed WiiBrew with LetterBomb, I am unable to install BootMii. Here is some [I think] relevant info:

When attempting to install BootMii, the screen says:
BootMii: can only be installed as an IOS
The installed boot1 version presvents a boot2 install (-2)



... then when I attempt the BootMii Recovery it says:

Checking boot2...
BootMii not found, too dangerous to continue!



If there is other info needed to diagnosis the problem, I'll be happy to give it. Thank you so much in advance for any and all help.

Wait... do I even need BootMii to start adding WiiBrew channels? Can I add the WiiBrew Browser and/or channels without BootMii?

You don't need BootMii for the Homebrew Channel. It is mainly for recovery purposes only. As you have figured out, you can use the Homebrew Browser and other homebrew apps without BootMii.
