Homebrew Channel on newer Wii Consoles - how?

I have been using Letterbomb with success on original Wiis, now I have a black Wii which is missing GC ports (it is not the mini), Letterbomb not working.

Which of the other exploits would work (if any?) Before I track down a specific game I wanted to check which was the best/easiest option.

Did some research, smashstack worked perfectly.

Letterbomb also works fine if you follow the instructions correctly.

Not sure why, but Letterbomb would not work on that particular Console. I had done 3 previous (all the older models with GC ports) using Letterbomb so I know what I was doing, but it wouldn't generate the mail on the Black one. Not sure why. Anyway, Smashstack worked just fine so I am happy.
