How to install bootmii on lu64?

anyone with a lu64+ with 4.0 can successful to install bootmii?
screen turns black after press yes to load the hackmii installer,
is there anyway to fix this problem?

Not yet. We don't yet understand why it doesn't work.

i have lu64 with 4.0 and when i click yes after warning it either goes balnk or brings up black text screen and freezes either way when i try to install hbc using hackmii installer 0.1

When I click load boot.dol/elf with bannerbomb, it just goes straight to a black screen, with any dol or elf. Also, you need to use the installer 0.2, k420

I am having the same issue with the installer 0.1 and installer 0.2 using bannerbomb on a system meny 4 wii. I am able to boot other things (nes and snes emulators) but have not been able to get the bootmii to run.

I even went as far as installing loadmii http://code.google.com/p/loadmii/ and trying to boot either the 0.1 or 0.2 that way.

All it does is the loading sound comes up and the screen goes black.

hey guys, bootmii beta 0.2 worked for me. (LU64 / System 4.0U).

Are u using bannerbomb v1.08 (latest version) and bootmii beta 2?
A few weeks ago, i was using bannerbomb v1.03, i was able to load SNES / Wii64, but can't run BootMii.

Try this:

Format your SD as FAT, copy the "private" folder from BannerBomb to the root of SD, rename the bootmiiinstaller as boot.elf and copy to the root of SD.

So, turn on wii without the SD; when Wii Menu appears, insert the SD card into slot and execute the bannerbomb (Wii, Channels, SD - in the right top corner). Maybe work.

Is this just for virgin 4.0s?

My Wii is a 3.4U LU64 and has the Homebrew Channel installed along with the updates from the WiiSCU 0.1 updater. Can I still use the new Bannerbomb?

Also, (I'm sure this is a stupid question but I have to ask) do I need to clear out my SD card first?

It will work for you. BannerBomb works for system menu 2.0 and higher or so.

However, has anyone else used WiiSCU before updating with Bannerbomb. I'm wondering because WiiSCU affects the NAND.

Bannerbomb doesn't update anything.
And yes, you can use it to run WiiSCU
