wii dvd movie ripper?

not to pirate, but have you ever gone camping or on vacation, and wanted to bring some movies? what if you dont have enough room for them? if your computer isnt good for ripping dvds, why doesnt anybody create a wii dvd movie ripper? i think it would be helpful to have a backup on a usb drive you can fit in your pocket.

Well first of all there's only a limited number of Wii's that can read normal DVDs. Second of all, since it's really quite simple to get a computer DVD drive and rip movies that way, I see no point in using the Wii to do so. You'd have to write a lot of code to get it to work, whereas tools already exist for computers.
