An Idea For an app.

I wouldn't exactly know if this is possible or not, but my idea would be an app that can let you use the Classic Controller to play Gamecube games. It would start the app, go to a black screen, but then switch to the game, and your wiimote will still be on, with the LED being on whatever player you are on, from 1 to 4. It could have multiplayer support. I'm suggesting this because my wii is THAT far away, and is in my tv stand.

I'll have to get a Wavebird, then? D:

I guess you can get a wavebird. :P

I'm fairly certain that the reason this is not possible is because when you launch a gamecube game, it basically turns your wii into a gamecube. It locks out the hardware thats not present in the GC, and uses the same software the GC uses to run games.

Thus, you wouldn't be able to use a Classic Controller during a GC game.

Yes this is not possible unless, IIRC, we modify the MIOS (which is very hard)

or we forced the wii to run gamecube code under a different ios

Nay, rewrite MIOS.
