Mediaplayer like SMS for PS2

Hi.

I was woundering if anyone ever have used "simple media system" developed for the PS2. Its a fenomenal media player and have great network streaming capabilites. It uses a small program called "radhost client" to share and communicate with the console. I have been using it for a year or so. (use it to watch alot av avi's)
I have been testing a few mediaplayers for wii but i couldn't quite get the hang of it an if i did it was realy choppy playback.
I would realy like to see a similar media player for the Wii, that would be great.

If you do have any tips for me to get smooth and easy streaming to my wii (with existing homebrew) please point me in the right direction.

MPlayer CE is the best media player for Wii, hands down. Its currently kinda basic looking, but there is a new GUI incoming soon. It can also stream stuff through SMB, as well as playing DVDs and media from USB and SD.

Yeah they've been requesting designs, and some of them are looking very nice.

Any idea when the next Mplayer CE release is?

Dunno, it could be a while to implent the GUI, I'd say it'd be a big task.
