Game Developer Needed For Prototype completion before E3

Game Developer Needed For Prototype completion before E3
December 01, 2009 07:09AM
I am looking for a programmer or development team to complete a prototype of a Wii game to showcase at E3.

The job would be a work for hire and I would require a non-disclosure before moving forward with communications about my game.

I understand that this is a Homebrew forum, but I cant afford to play in the big leagues just yet and hoping someone here has the talent and ambition to compete with them.

My first step is a prototype that will show game play. I need someone who can use the IR sensor feature of the Wiimote and apply those movements to objects in space.

I have an artist on board to do the texture mapping and character design. What I am interested in now is just the game play.

I don't have much money right now but have a 81 page business plan and some investor meetings in a few weeks.

Otherwise I will need to trade my 1969 VW bus or 2001 BMW 650 to have the work done.

I have been working on this idea for 10 + years and the technology finally caught up and moved from Hollywood to the living room.

Thank you everyone for being so cool with open source. Someday (after this project) I will contribute to the work that you do.

Do you actually have your hands on an official SDK?

No. I do not have the official SDK. One of the problems I must face. Can it be coded without it?

WOW everyone! Thank you all for the response. It kills me to not be able to tell you the details.

Fyi-- My plan is to go to GDC and E3 with or without a prototype. If I do not get the prototype then I will "bluff" the audience.

By making a 3d animation simulating game play and have an actor demonstrate with a practiced performance that matches the video.

It wont be easy, But I think it can be done. Also I have a group of people who would be willing to show up and rally audience.

Wild people, and hot chicks, who can create a "what's going on over there" kind of response.

Im really serious about this, Its not spam. I had an investor meeting yesterday and it went well.

Just need a programmer.

I am willing to sell / trade everything I own to get this done.

This is my shot. My best idea. And I am sure it will work if I can find the right people with the right skills.

Aloha,

Dave

Yes you can code 3D with devkitpro but if you are really serious you should invest in the official tools.

"Wild people, and hot chicks" - They are called "Nerds and booth babes" at a gaming convention :)

Just need a programmer.
Im sure there are tons of people around here capable of getting the job done well for little. I'd personally be willing to work on it voluntarily (for free) just for the experience of doing it. However, I'd need someone infinitely more talented than me at these things to work with.

BTW, Be sure to have some media assembled (artwork, sound, etc.) before you're ready for a programmer to go to work.

EDIT:Oh yeah, and you should really consider getting an SDK. Its much easier to get things done with one of those than with devkitPRO. Also, just so you know, you have to convert whatever you make with the official SDK to run on the homebrew channel.
