Game Genie rom in FCE Ultra GX version 3.2.3

I have been using homebrew for several weeks now. I was going to use the game genie rom for Contra cheats and every time I try to load it, the thing says "Game Genie rom not found!". I'm just about ready to brick my Wii then bash it with a brick. Please help!

I had this problem too, I do know you have to change the name of the rom to like gg.rom which I did but couldn't get it to work.

I tried this and it still didn't work. do u know where u can find a contra .cht file for nes then? Zophar has nothing on it.

I don't know I haven't messed with the .cht files, might do a google for it and see if you can find any thing.

that got me squat. is their an archive where u can dwnld old versions FCE instead? It might work that way.

I finally figured out that the rom I was using was corrupted. Thanks for the help though!
