Unable to install official custom channels on WiiU in Wii mode?

I know WADS are no-no, so I won't make any mention near that, but Tantric's official emulator channel forwarders don't seem to work for me never the less. When I load them, I'm given the black screen and my Wiimote shuts off. Anyone experiencing any problems getting channels on the new menu, or do I have another problem?

No idea if you still follow this topic, but vwii and wii forwarders are not cross compatible.

As for creating vwii compatible legitimate forwarders (I think this is forum legal), you can probably use a program called convert2vwii
