yes all disks, including GC disks act in the same way - get to the bit when they should start to spin and come back out again.by CurlyPaul - Hardware
Yeah I think thats what mind end up happening. It isnt actually my wii, I friend has given it to me to mess with before they fork out to have nintendo fix it.by CurlyPaul - Hardware
I've been googling this and it seems like a common problem on the early wii's but I've not found a satisfactory answer. The wii accepts the disk and loads it into the correct position. Both the sensors on the small board on top of the drive seem to trigger like they are supposes to and the disk sits in the loaded position but does not spin the disk and instead ejects it. Well thanks to all of you who tried to help (I'll check out the link later) and big fuck you to lordzid. I did google it but like I said in op, all I found was a bunch of unhelpful elitist pricks talking in arguments rather than actually explaining anything.by CurlyPaul - Coding
@Tantric - I have some fucnctions that I wrote and I want to put them in a library so that I can re-use them. @lordzid - Does that go in the makefile somewhere? and will it give me a file with the 'a' extension that I can put in the libogc folder and reference from future projects?by CurlyPaul - Coding
Does anyone have any clear instructions on how to build a library using DevKitPro and Programmers notepad? I've been looking around the web but all the answers that I can find to this question are one liners and are written as command lines. I'd like to read some sort of explanation of what needs to be done. Thanksby CurlyPaul - Coding
Hello, I'm new here and thought I would introduce myself... I live in the UK and I have a lovely wife and 3 great kids. I 'm a bit of a retro gamer and I love programming. I'm a professional software engineer but I'm a .net softy so I may still ask a few nooby questions. I got interested in homebrew when my wife re-bought me a saturn last year to make up for having toby CurlyPaul - Offtopic
