Just noticed that DMP is using dumb and mikmod to play MOD/XM/IT files... And it has a sidplayer as well! Unfortunately DMP's source isn't complete so I can't even compile it to figure out how everything works. Has anyone else managed to get something other than gcmodplay to play these files? Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking to play module files (Wikipedia - Module files), not just audio samples. Asndlib uses gcmodplay to play modules. I wish there was a MikMod port... we have one for the NDS, just not the Wii. Unfortunately my coding skills aren't good enough to port a library... :(by Charlatan - Coding
Hi. I've noticed that gcmodplay is not playing MODs correctly, i.e. the arpeggio effect is not implemented properly, and makes a lot of chiptunes sound strange. Does anyone have a workaround for this, or know of another library that plays MODs (or even better, XM or IT files)? I have tried SDL_mixer but it just crashes my Wii when I load any module. Having the same problem here. gcmodplay doesn't play some effects properly, like arpeggio (which is important if you want chiptunes to sound correct). Anyone have any ideas or workarounds (with example code)? I'm new to this. Thanks!by Charlatan - Coding
