QuoteCrayonNormally the Wii goes at 60 FPS. Well, normally the Wii doesn't have a framerate limit at all. This is the case when VIDEO_WaitVSync() isn't used.by Plombo - Coding
Unless I'm missing something, you need to invalidate the texture cache before loading a texture, not immediately after.by Plombo - Coding
I'm adding USB 2.0 support to OpenBOR, and I understand that to do so I have to reload IOS 202. What (if anything) would happen if reloading the IOS failed?by Plombo - Coding
QuoteDaidI think you could just 'jump' to the real entry point of the executable. I think: _start();Might work (_start is an label in the startup assembly code) This wil reset the stack and all variables to initial values, as the startup code handles all this. I tried that, but it causes a code dump immediately after I press the Reset button on the Wii. Maybe I'm doing sometby Plombo - Coding
QuoteTantricYour usb issue is probably related to the fact that USB keyboard is inited in SDL Wii then. Ah, that explains why we were having problems with USB loading in OpenBOR until I removed SDL from it.by Plombo - Coding
Nightwishfan1 is right. QuoteArikadoscanff already answered your question. Restart it yourself. For example, in Wii Shooting Gallery, I restart the application by setting all of the variables back to zero and sending the player back to the main menu. Thus, you are given the illusion of restarting the application even though it was not actually restarted. This is an allegory of sorts for whaby Plombo - Coding
Never mind, I fixed it. I wasn't flushing the cache before loading a new texture. I solved the problem by calling DCFlushRange immediately before calling GX_LoadTexObj.by Plombo - Coding
I have a problem with GX in my program. The below code causes the screen to constantly appear as a jumble of the current frame and recently rendered frames. Only parts of the screen are updated every time it renders a new frame. When the screen stays the same for a few seconds, the screen gradually undistorts itself. Note: Since it's not entirely clear from the code, pixelformat == PIXby Plombo - Coding
I tried system() and execl() with no luck (system just returns to the HBC and execl gives me a linking error for some reason), so...how do I reload an application file on a Wii? Sorry for the noobish question.by Plombo - Coding
**headdesk** Leave it to me to ask such an incredibly stupid question. Thank you for answering it. EDIT: I just saw the latest reply. That sounds like a much better solution; I'll try that! Then I'll only have to revert to goto if I can't get the file loading to work.by Plombo - Coding
I'm implementing POWER/RESET button support into my app right now. I've gotten the callbacks to behave nicely enough, but when I do the actual shutdown, it returns to the Homebrew Channel instead of restarting my application. Here is the line of code that does the reset: SYS_ResetSystem(SYS_HOTRESET, 0, 0); Is there any way to restart my application instead of returning to the Homeby Plombo - Coding
