As I understand it you're asking for some standardization to be able to set some protocols of communication between applications, am I right? Talking between apps is obviously possible in "dumb ways" (such as through files) but I'm not sure if with current libogc loading methods parameters can be passed while loading an app from another one nor if this can be implemented at all. Freezes are supposed to be fixed at 1.0.6 (it's the reason why it got released). When I had 1.0.5 it used to freeze a lot but 1.0.6 has never done it. The network reload problem is a known issue. The patch wasn't released with 1.0.6 because it was considered critical to fix the freezes. Download the installer uploaded at the provided link and it will work (it takes longer than 1.0.3).by Aruskano - Homebrew General
WIM! lol, I think WiiChat is better. About the app what's your idea? I may be interested. Aruskanoby Aruskano - Coding
I know, that's why I wrote fix between double quotes. And yes, the grid can be controlled with the gc controller. Once again, good work.by Aruskano - Testing Corner
It's working here. Very good idea. You can't select it with the gamecube controller but I guess it would be Tantric's work to "fix" it if he adds this to Snex9xGX. Aruskano,by Aruskano - Testing Corner
Look at my main function! lol, I think you should add useful things to your wiipaste to make it the right chose to wii developers (it's just the title what relates it to wii right now), you could edit your first post and start asking for wii-useful-features developers would like to see in a wii-only pastebin. If I have any idea I'll let you know tomorrow... going to sleep right now.by Aruskano - Coding
@up: He is talking about homebrew channel. You didn't mistook it the first time but the second one. @topic: Updating isn't only safe but also recommended since this version won't freeze as 1.0.5 does. Also you might want to read what's the Homebrew Channel and what's the Homebrew browser, since you seem to think they're the same thing and they're not. Haveby Aruskano - Getting Started

ISO at Wikipedia. Relating it to games is inaccurate. I know this may look exagerated but you should have in mind this guy is actually learning from the info you gave him, I get worried when I go to visit my girlfriend's brother (he is like 11) and his head is full of incorrect ideas gotten trough internet. @Affinity: Please help our community by stating the solution to your problem (if you find one). @wildgoosespeeder: Had a hard time trying to get something productive out of your post (I failed); certain app (how misterious!), you know it's not but maybe it is, Gecko OS-4.2 issues when he stated he was using 3.2. Well, I read somewhere about a guy with graphical issues when loading the HBC from bootmii but without those issues when loading it from the system menu. Also, I don't get your problem, if reinstalling it "refreshes" whatever is harming the HBC it just doesn't make sense to me. I advice you to: a) Load the HBC from system menu if you want to try b) Get on the IRC channel and talk aby Aruskano - Homebrew General
To find out your system meny go to the settings menu and look at the upper corners. If you are running 3.5 it seems like twilight hack is your only option (or so it says, I have never seen a korean wii so...). 4 days ago I would have adviced you to update and use bannerbomb but with the current situation you should try to get a twilight copy and run twilight hack to run the hackmii installer.by Aruskano - Getting Started
I don't understand your problem. You said the problem was similar to the one you linked to, which wasn't close to how I imagined yours, you stated you couldn't load any apps and now you stated everything works fine until something in a game freezes (I don't get what you mean with this). I'll try to understand you so here I go... Did you update the system menu or just tby Aruskano - Homebrew General
It depends of your definition of "mods". The homebrew channel can be installed in any Wii. That's all you need to know.by Aruskano - Getting Started
Lol, you didn't mention you updated to 4.2. No, bannerbomb doesn't work. Read about the workarounds to it at the wiki.by Aruskano - Homebrew General
Not sure about Bootmii but the new DVDx and HBC won't get deleted if you installed them with the newest installer. If your wii gets bricked by the update you cannot restore your NAND with Bootmii. Rename the installer to boot.elf and put it in your sd card in /apps/hackmii0.5 (or any name of your taste), go and run it as a regular application in your old homebrew channel and update from there. If you uninstalled the old homebrew channel, remember that when you used bannerbomb to install your old one you also replaced your private folder with another one. People with semibricked (or those who want to go to the HBC "directly") wiis can install a .dol that launches the HBC (the new title) and set the autobot to it. I'm doing that myself. Have a nice day, Aruskano.by Aruskano - Getting Started
I guess this should be in other board. Anyways, I do agree with you! I just can't finish it in hard level!!! ><! I tend to stick with games I can't finish... as for the killer maps, where did you get that from? Aruskanoby Aruskano - Homebrew Applications
Okay. Here's the procedure GeckoOS does: Check if I'm running IOS36. If not, run IOS36. Check if I can work as SU (First checking if IOS36 has ES_identify enabled and then attempting to become SU) If yes, check if I can run IOS249. If yes, turn a flag on (I'll need this later!). If not, attempt to load IOS35. Check if I'm running as SU regardless of the IOS.by Aruskano - Homebrew General
Hey hey! I just overlooked at the source last night. If the IOS it runs off is relevant it's not trucha what makes the difference (it doesn't even check for it) but ES_identify/ES_DiVerify. I got the results I mentioned in my story because I Dop'd an IOS with this app which installed what I just mentioned too. I gotta explain what GeckoOS checks in some minutes but seeing you weby Aruskano - Homebrew General
I was about to bump this thread this morning! Good to hear those good news! So the method you said you were going to use worked fine? (I'm kind of interested in this too). I think (based on my own experience) that GeckoOS picks the IOS that it likes the most (not sure what it checks since it's not open source anymore) and it has different options according to the IOS it's using. Here's my experience: I didn't have any IOS with trucha bug because I updated my wii from nintendo when I bought it, I were told about homebrew a while after that anby Aruskano - Homebrew General

Can you explain a little further? You are misusing some terms (or leaving them open to self-interpretation) and that's exactly what we don't need when trying to solve problems. What I mean is: with "downloaded homebrew on my wii" doesn't seem obvious to me. You could be misusing the term download to talk about installing the homebrew channel, you could be correctly using the teby Aruskano - Getting Started
Actually, installing Bootmii as an IOS gives some level of bricking-protection* but you need preloader installed (which you probably don't want) anyways you shouldn't be doing bad things that may brick your poor wii, should you? :) *Read this for further details. Hello, I want to use/learn how to use these functions and I want to know if anyone has taken the time to see source codes of homebrew apps and remember if he saw an app using lwp so I can look-and-learn.
