Well Google tv will be open source so I'm sure someone will make it "free" on a device or two it's really the hardware that you have to pay for not the software. I'm glad others like the idea if it worked that would bring a lot of Apps to the Wii and I think Google TV would be amazing I'm not sure how we would make it pick up your cable or satalite though I guess just gettingby Link_of_Hyrule - Ideas, requests
I've been thinking a lot lately about how interesting it would be to see android ported to the Wii and when the source code to Google TV (which currently runs on Android 2.1) is released next year that it would be great to utilize it's features with out actually having to go out and get a new piece of hardware to run it on. Android was originally meant to run on smartphones but is now mby Link_of_Hyrule - Ideas, requests
Well I'm a tad bit ocd so I like all my icons to match and so far most of them have just lettering with no background like your Ocarina icon which i love btw anyways if you could please make Briicks, Kobo, WiiShip, Rick Dangerous, Mahjong, Space Shooters, and MadQuiz icons in a similar fashion that would be much appreciated.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
Yeh most likely it would have to be a remakeby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
I was surfing around the net when i stumbled appon this awesome game I use to play called pocket tanks it would be cool to see it on Wii even if its not an actual port of it a remake would still be pretty cool.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
I'm glad to see that your implimenting pwad support maybe I won't have to merge wads any more for them to work with it :)by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
Please don't bump threads if you have suggestions for already made homebrew post them on thier site not this forum. This forum is for new ideas no for features to be added to existing homebrew.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
I would but I'm only staff on the irc right now other wise i'd combined the Wii64 threads and delete/merge a couple others.by Link_of_Hyrule - Offtopic
well thats why you post a a ticket for an inhancement with your code included i'm sure they can clean it up before they integrate it.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
You should post this on the google code page of the Snes9x for them to integrate it into thier sources.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
Whether or not this is true this community does not support piracy and it should not be discussed here. Please get back on topic or this thread will most likely be closed.by Link_of_Hyrule - Offtopic
I'm sorry but unfortunately I'm pretty sure that would fall under copyrighted code so you'll have to look else where.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew Applications
Well when games get old like snes and such and it becomes a bit harder to obtain games I can partly understand it but Wii is the latest to date console on the market and should be paid for thats all there is to it. People say "oh i need backups cus my games get scratched" well if you actually take care of your games they won't get scratched. I keep all my games in a case they go directly toby Link_of_Hyrule - Offtopic
Yes it has ended up on most gaming related blogs as far as I can tell.by Link_of_Hyrule - Offtopic
Yes I fear that this will cause nintendo to work faster at patching away our beloved and legal homebrew :( Seriously I know games are expensive but, the game devs work hard on them. If they want to try the games out how hard is it to rent them or play at a friends or something make sure they like it before they spend the money I usually check online study up on games and electronics before Iby Link_of_Hyrule - Offtopic
I think that it would be very hard to do this with the already made emulators that the emulators would need to modified to include extra launching function. maybe the application could patch the code to include this new function but I don't know if that would be possible or not.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
There are several applications on wii that already do this only thing really is that for net fuctions you need the usb ethernet adapter because they are linux based and wii linux doesn't have Wi-Fi support yet apparently its rather hard to code a wi-fi driver for linux to work with the wii's hardware.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
LOL it looks exactly like the original super mario brothers.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
QuoteHyperHackerThat's running in Wii mode though; it's not really relevant. Were talking about wii homebrew not gamecube homebrew so yes it would run in wii mode. QuoteIgglybooCouldn't you just make a small hack on the wii to make it connect to your computer then reroute the connection to your server? The emulator would be able to use both the wireless adapter and usb broby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
no because those programs uses windows drivers that aren't portable to wii plus even if you could none of your isos would run on the wii.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
what are you talking about? A psx emulator for wii already exists.by Link_of_Hyrule - Offtopic
Sounds like a good idea for little kids but some how I dont think a dev will take interest in it maybe you should consider buying dora the explorer or something i think theres a wii game of that.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
Well if there is an open source emulator available and people willing to port it then hey its possible same thing is basically happening for the psx emulator the source code is being made to work on the Wii. The community just lacks people that are able to code or willing to code what people want because most people who can code good have a job coding and don't have time to make free stuff fby Link_of_Hyrule - Offtopic
I don't think it would be possible because its unlikely the messages are actually sent instead it probably sends a packet that tells the other persons game what message to display meaning u would only see the changed message and not the other person.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
I didn't say it was similar maybe I should have said that it should easily run on the Wii if it runs on an Ipod Touch theres no need to be so flamish I know thier not the same devices but its common sense if software runs on a device that has lower specs then another one then most likely it will run on the other device with high specs.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
Apparently they are going to integrate networking into the psx emulator QuoteEmu_Kidid> PCSX was recently updated with Network Play. Do you plan on implementing this feature? Yes, we plan to add Network Play to PCSX after all the other major parts of it are complete and full speed. Net play will work through traditional wireless on the Wii and also on Gamecube throughout the BBA (and posby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
Well I really think it would be cool the see a ps2 emulator play kingdom hearts and such on Wii but as you people have said i needs some good coders to do so I'm sure there is a ps2 emu already made that can be ported to Wii.by Link_of_Hyrule - Offtopic
well if thats the case should be easily ported to Wii I can't imagine the Ipod Touch having better specs then the Wii.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
This was my concept for Wii Speak I had a while back before it was announced but i find it very unlikely seeing that wiispeak uses a single mike instead of bt headsets. See here for my concept idea it has concept screens and such. Ironically enough nintendo stole the name i thought up for the concept. QuoteLink_of_HyruleMany people on the Internet have said they would like voice chat on theby Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
sounds like an interesting concept would be pretty cool if it was easily done could have the emulators set up as sort of plugins to the rom loader.by Link_of_Hyrule - Homebrew General
