I'm downloading that now, just have to see if I can update the compiler as I am running Windows 7 as there was mention that there were issues with it on Vista. ---added: It seemed to compile the skeleton Win32 app OK.by dcpyatt - Offtopic
In addition to the devkitPPC we still need a C++ compiler, correct? Is there a recommended open-source/shareware/PD compiler that is more recommended? My Borland TurboC++ was on 5-1/4" discs, so I need to start new (I told you in a different thread that it has been a LONG while since I coded more than data manipulation for work!) Does anyone have a tutorial site/video to bring newbie Wii Proby dcpyatt - Offtopic
Sorry I haven't added any more thoughts the past few days... my son has been sick for over a week now and I've been watching old TV series with him to keep his spirits up since the meds have been slow to kick it. 18 next month and he's still my baby. :) When I have a 'Eureka!' moment I'll document it on my journal and let you all know...by dcpyatt - Offtopic
I have a few features/obstacles in my project... 1. I haven't coded 'real' code in quite a while, let alone any coding for the Wii. 2. I plan on taking it to a VERY mechanical physics engine, not just selecting a random number and picking a picture for the reel. 3. I want to create a statistical model off of the outcomes to validate the results. In my "HOUSE" the HOUSEby dcpyatt - Offtopic
So much for me picking an original name... I even Googled the crap out of it! :) Oh well... It was going to be the TiiNii WiiNii CasiiNo Project, but I thought that was a bit much, Maybe I'll make it OHiiO Slots. :)by dcpyatt - Offtopic
It sounds like the issue is that the USB drive is formatted to something other than NTFS or a FAT derivative, most likely ext3. I've only played with Linux a little so my knowledge is cloudy, but perhaps you can get Windows to see the non-windows drive with a third party driver?by dcpyatt - Offtopic
I am new to the Homebrew scene, but I am hoping to gain proficiency in Wii programing after shaking the rust out of my old programming skills that accumulated in my most recent years of Visual BASIC programming. I used to do assembly, BASIC, COBOL, Pascal (for school) and some Visual stuff, but have been working the last 12 years as systems support and haven't been coding except for data maby dcpyatt - Offtopic
Make sure that you sync all of your WiiMotes to your console by using the red button under the SD Card door and the battery cover on the WiiMote. I hit the button on the console then the remote and repeat the process for each of my WiiMotes. From my understanding, homebrews can not see 'Guest-synched' WiiMotes.by dcpyatt - Offtopic
