Has anyone considered the internal mod to make the SD slot function as both an SD Gecko? If so, is this possible to be used? The reason this works is that the SD card reads and writes similar to the functions of the GCN Memory Card. http://forums.nintendo-scene.com/index.php?topic=955.0 http://www.sockrocket.com/wii/by slyfox299 - Ideas, requests
Sorry!!! I have to agree... And uh, "know where"? ... (It's nowhere)by slyfox299 - Ideas, requests
Geez jack, take it easy on him. Stop treating people like they are trash if they mistake themselves... I agree however, that this would deal with libdvdnav. However, it would be pretty sweet to run those laserdisc dvd games, long live Dragon's Lair. Good luck on this though. As for menu navigation, I would try a dvd game you own(I hope we arent pirating them, right?) and then use theby slyfox299 - Ideas, requests
Hi All!!! I want your opinion on this. I was a noob who updated to 4.0 as a virgin wii. Thus, when I heard 4.0 was out, I was so mad. Until BannerBomb was released. I then ordered 4 SD cards (:D) and got hooked on homebrew. Now since then, I have come within 2 bricks, both which I fixed because I was 4.0. Now it has come to my attention that there are several people who bricked their Wiiby slyfox299 - Getting Started

Yeah, I borked a wii and then took my dump. The NAND dump, not a physical dump ;) Ok, did you install Preloader? Probably not, but if you did, try installing a dol and booting it. Also, format your SD to FAT. I had a NAND backup lockup and I formatted and it was fine. Ok, you said no Wiimote syncing, so the wii doesn't even detect a WiiMote? Right? Because if it detects one and you donby slyfox299 - Getting Started
Ok, it looks really simple... I'll test it later, but for now, here's my overview... It looks like you need to get your files into the /www directory. This is just a folder on the root of your SD called www. Now, you execute the server app. This loads up the web pages, and now your server is running. (Before you run the app though, load HBC and hit home to bring up the menu. Note/jotby slyfox299 - Getting Started
No game ever uses FTP!!! Rofl, sry... It's not POST or GET either though, because these deal with PHP coding. Game servers dont run off of PHP... I am not really sure to tell you the truth... (This is a request for someone to reverse engineer a server or something.. :D)by slyfox299 - Offtopic
You are right, however, I'll save you the gory details about why the offline version isn't possible with this script. It has to do with what is installed on the server. There is a certain package on a server which isn't installed on many computers, and, thus, the script can't execute 100% correctly... Though I can alter it and have the links linking to the downloads... Iby slyfox299 - Offtopic
Ooh!!! DC Emulation, right up my alley... Yep, DC disks are GD-Roms, which are technically modified CD-ROMs with 2 tracks. The TOC(Table of Contents) and a DATA track. These both occupy the cd, which is the GD-ROM. Now in the case of emulation, because this is a disc based game console, you need to dump a BIOS file. (I am not trying to violate the rules. I am merely sharing info.) Once you haby slyfox299 - Offtopic
Ok, here's my idea. We can extract all of the files in an ISO with Edited Out, right? So, if we were to get a programmer to check the code on some of the files, maybe we can zero in on the file which contains WiFi info. Certainly the game uses one/several servers, and I think when someone connects to WiFi, the game scans one server, then another server, etc, until it "loops" finding a plaby slyfox299 - Offtopic
Quotedaniel_c_w Everytime i hear or read the word "Hikari", I remember the rather cheesy (german) themesong. I never liked the show, though - but the song is still stuck in my head, even after (looks up wikipedia) almost 15 years :D (I do not know, whether the german song uses the same melody and a faithfull translation, or was a completely new composition) For me, it's the other way aroby slyfox299 - Offtopic
German, eh? I guess you are familiar with Hikari no Densetsu? Anyways, I recommend checking out Appleseed(2004). The best english dub I've seen yet..by slyfox299 - Offtopic
QuoteDanielHueho A good thing would be replacing the Flicker's link in the tiles with one pointing to the WiiBrew respective article. You are exactly correct. However, when viewed offline, the flickr links appear. I guess I should have said that... Why? Because there is code which is parsed only when on a server. Thus, when viewed offline, the code isn't parsed(read) and things simpby slyfox299 - Offtopic
Confused me on that one... Not sure what you mean. I know it might be difficult to prot the Java, but it might be worth a shot. You can use what you learned to port WoW...by slyfox299 - Offtopic
And let me add one more question. Which do you prefer? English dubs or Japanese with english subs? (I have actually learned a good bit of japanese watching CCSakura)by slyfox299 - Offtopic
Hehehe, you see it exactly as I do... I enjoy anime, but if it takes 300+ episodes to do the entire story, I lose interest. The Gundam series, to a degree, is like this, but at least they are all seperate stories which don't take but one or two seasons to run(correct me if I am wrong)... I watched part of an episode of Avatar at a dentist's office out of the corner of my eye. I timedby slyfox299 - Offtopic
No problem at all! I understand what you mean. I am tired of seeing .zip softmod packs too. This, though, is totally different, as in a sense, it has nothing to do with the wii console itself. Just read the first post again to see what I mean...by slyfox299 - Offtopic
Can someone lighten me on why everyone is crazy over Naruto and/or Bleach and/or One Piece? I mean, come on, the stories in the animes are over 300 episodes long! Why? Because it takes 15 minutes just to throw 2 punches! (ok, ok, so I am stretching it a little) If you can, answer me this question. *What makes an anime good and why?* To me, true anime is a mixture of beautiful music and beauby slyfox299 - Offtopic
Never played WoW, so I can't tell you anything useful. However, I will say this. How hard would it be to port over JavaScript code? Because if you are interested in a MMORPG, I would suggest downloading the open-source private-server "MoparScape"(Yeah, I know. Lame old runny-nose-scape) However, because you would have access to all of the JS files and scripts, this might lead to a potentiby slyfox299 - Offtopic
Hi Everyone! I am new, but I wanted to share with you a project in progress. I am currently creating a "Wii Homebrew Database" of my own. As you can see if you download the .rar, I am creating the database with some excellent software called TiltViewer. My goal is to get as many homebrew apps as I can onto it. There really isn't a limit to the size, but I want to keep a pattern, either 3xby slyfox299 - Offtopic
