A functional drive board is all your need afaik.by mauifrog - Getting Started
Download from NUSby mauifrog - FixMii
You can not load any wii channels, games, wiiware, vc without a functional disc drive. Possible you could patch these channels to not try and initialize the dvd drive, but I have never seen this done. Basically, without a somewhat functional drive board, not much works on the wii.by mauifrog - Getting Started
That is good, the keys.bin is all you need. So if savemiifrii does not work, the only fix is nand programming, which you can have done since you have the keys.by mauifrog - FixMii
Send it to Nintendo for repair or send it to nand programmer if you have the nand keys to reprogram the nand, or buy a new wii.by mauifrog - FixMii
Try doing savemiifrii and pray it loads the recovery menu. If recovery menu does not load you have full brick wii. If recovery menu does load you can only fix the wii via disc update or modchip methods. If the recovery menu does not load you can only fix the full brick if you have a bootmii nand.bin or nand keys, and have the nand reprogrammed.by mauifrog - FixMii
If the online update fails, just load dop-mii and install the needed updates. There really is not any reason to stress about this, just update what you need. Install ios80-v6944 Install system menu 4.3 for your region Update ios 9, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 21, 22, 28, 31, 33, 35, 36, 37, 38, 53, 55, 56, 57, 58, 61 Update all needed channels That is about it.by mauifrog - FixMii
You could slit the hackmii installer into many little pieces, then you could download them. I used HxD to split hackmii into 40KB pieces, 53 pieces total, then concatenate them back together. This works well. Unfortunately, I can't post it here and I can't pm you for some reason. So if the mods would permit a temporary link to these files to fix your issue, I will post it temporarily. Would it be possible to reprogram the eeprom in the bluetooth module from a wii app? If it was it would be nice to have an app that could fix all these dead bt modules instead of replacing them.I know you can remove the eeprom and reprogram then with an eeprom programmer, but that sucks. Is it possible to read/write to the eeprom on bt module from wii? Is it possible for some homebrew bug to killby mauifrog - Ideas, requests
No, you can only fix it with ssbb-palby mauifrog - FixMii
You most likely have a mail brick. Backup any important save files and such with savegame manager, install priiloader, go to the system settings and do a format. You can get to the system menu at the health screen by holding + - at the safety screen and pressing A. You can reinstall system menu 4.3 with dop-mii. Just load HBC, load dop-mii, install system menu 4.3, exit to HBC, reinstall priiby mauifrog - Getting Started
is wiibrew.org broken? I am having trouble. Edit- WTF, when I post from chrome I get when I submit Seems to work fine via tor browser. Also wiibrew.org was down for 2-3 days for me, now it is back but the link to apps and forum is not there. Please tell me this is not just me, wtf.by mauifrog - Offtopic
it should be like this on sd card sd:\apps\dop-mii\boot.dol sd:\apps\dop-mii\meta.xml Then you should see dop-mii in the homebrew channel. Load dop-mii Once it loads, select system menu Install system menu 4.2 japby mauifrog - FixMii
Load dop-mii wiibrew edition from the homebrew channel. Install system menu 4.2j. That should fix it. Or, you could load any region changer and change your system settings to match USA settings 4.2u. It just depends on if you want a jap wii or a usa wii.by mauifrog - FixMii
Yes smash stack will work, but you only can run from RM. RM will only load games that are patched to autoboot, these are modified games that require a chip to load. Also ssbb usa will not load from RM when set to autoboot, so you must use ssbb pal. 4.3u will not load ssbb pal because it is out of region game, so you must use swap method. You take a usa game known to work well with swap, like castby mauifrog - FixMii
Perhaps it does not like your sd card, or it needs to be formated. Try a different card, or try formating the card with the panasonic sd formater, or try to get another bootmii folder bootmii-folder-pal.rar When you boot the wii with out any sd card, disc, usb, gc stuff, you should be two flashes from the blue led drive light. If you only see one flash you don't have boot2 bootmii.by mauifrog - FixMii
If you do not have boot2 bootmii installed, your only hope is to fix it via Super Smash Bros Brawl. This requires time and money, you need a chip, SSBB pal and a game to load it with. Or you could wait and see if Nintendo every releases another update on disc, probably not likely. It is fixable. For more info on your fix have a look at the methods to fix error: 003 via discswap pwn or mario kartby mauifrog - FixMii
Sounds like your wii can be fixed. Need more info. First remove everything from the wii, discs, sd cards, gc stuff, usb stuff. Boot the wii and see how many times the blue led drive light flashes. Does it flash once, or twice? Now turn of the wii, hold the reset button and turn the wii on while holding reset. What happens? Does preloader/priiloader load? Now just boot the wii. What happens? Quotename='Shadow#1' timestamp='1333853628' post='4175726' This is how to edit the save if you want to use the ntsc version of the game now. First get a preferred hex editor of your choice then use a save dumper for wii the one i used was save game manager GX. Dump your pal save with the above app then open the "index.sgmgx" file in your preferred hex editor from folby mauifrog - Homebrew General

That works great giantpune, your awesome. You win a prize, only one though, sorry. This is a super simple solution for those with small sd card or little time, works very fast. Did you have that laying around, or did you just write it? What is 0x2f8 - 0x2f9? It does not match the key.bin from my bootmii dump.by mauifrog - Ideas, requests
I would be happy to have giantpune do it if he likes, I am sure whatever work involved will take more effort than my pledge. An updated xzyyz that used ahbprot would be great, assuming it would not need network and ios11 etc. I think there are two types of people, the stupid ones, the lazy ones, and the poor ones with very small sd card. You can't help the stupid ones, but a quick method ofby mauifrog - Ideas, requests
I would be nice to have a fast simple method of getting the nand keys without making a full nand dump with bootmii or using xyzzy. The best option would be to have the hackmii installer create a key.bin file on sd:\ any time the installer was run, regardless of usable ios. Or have an option to dump only the keys from within bootmii. Or have a standalone app that would dump the keys. The problem iby mauifrog - Ideas, requests
Do you have an sd menu at the bottom of the channel menu? Put bannerbomb v2 on the sd card with the hackmii installer, try to load hackmii via bannerbomb v2. If it loads, great, install HBC and bootmii, make a nand backup. Then run syscheck from the HBC, this will tell you what region your wii settings are and what system menu you have installed. At that point you have two choices, install the syby mauifrog - FixMii
Post the sd:\installer.log did anyrgionchanger give you an error, like your sysconf is crap? Also, what is and is not working for you? Is the system menu loading? Priiloader? Bootmii? You get the idea. Do you have boot2 bootmii? It should be fixable, just post some more detailed info on your wii.by mauifrog - FixMii
If the bt module was bad, savemiifrii would work with a gc controller. but- bootmii boot2 would also work priiloader/preloader would also work HBC would also work wiimotes would not work wii games would not work etc So, it is not likely your bt module, but give it a try.by mauifrog - FixMii
You said a dirty wordby mauifrog - Homebrew General
I have no idea, probably 1/16-1/8, just a thin hole in the midle of the d-pad, not through the controller. Small screw drivers are usually 1-4 dollars at walgreens, a very small flathead screw driver. Or just try it as is by pushing really hard on all four directions on the dpad at the sametime.by mauifrog - FixMii
What version of dop-mii are you loading? I don't know, perhaps try loading a different version.by mauifrog - FixMii
