Yes you can get HBC on a 4.3 wii, You will need one of the game exploits, a 2 gig sd card no bigger and non micro cards. Here are the instrutions on how to install it.by dirtrider73068 - Getting Started
If its strictly HBC then use the hackmii installer and chose to remove it but there is a step to do it right. One of the other guys that knows how can tell you exactly what to do.by dirtrider73068 - Getting Started
Actually you can't use a micro sd card to install homebrew, but can use it to run homebrew. You will need a 2 gig no more sd card non micro to install it, the smash stack for one won't work with a micro sd card its been known to cause problems with trying to install. Yes you will void your warranty and any repairs by nintendo if you install homebrew. They will flat refuse to fix anythinby dirtrider73068 - Getting Started
You should be able to use the latest hackmii installer to update the HBC, run it through HBC, uninstall HBC and then choose to install and it should be update to current version. You can also get the IOS 58 installer and install that through HBC, but It would be best to install IOS 58 so the HBC will recognize it when you update HBC with the hackmii installer. Also if you have your wii connectedby dirtrider73068 - Homebrew General

I don't know much about updates, they do have them on disc as well. Give it some time one of the other guys that might have heard of this issue will chime in.by dirtrider73068 - Getting Started
