Define "wrong". I mean, you obviously mean "accurate to the original console", but there's a million cases where that's not going to improve the experience for anyone outside of the nostalgia value. Is Uniracers/Unirally more of a uniquely insane, stunt-filled racer when the tires are ovals? Is Super Picross a more devilish and rewarding puzzler when you're filling in rectby vaguerant - Homebrew Applications
Well, in some cases it is possible to patch the same changes achieved through a cheat code into the ROM, e.g. here is a guide to patching codes into Mario 64. I'm not aware of any general use tool that can do this, but they exist for other consoles, so it may be possible.by vaguerant - Homebrew Applications
How old is your Wii, and more to the point, how old are your Wiimotes? The method traditionally used to communicate with Wiimotes in homebrew differs from the official mechanism, and doesn't work with the most recent Wiimote Plus revision. Assuming Snes9x GX hasn't been recompiled since support for the new models was added, this may well be your problem. Short of compiling it yourself,by vaguerant - Homebrew Applications
Sorry for bump, but a related question: how difficult would it be to implement integer scaling (i.e. raw 2* scale) for 480p mode? I understand that these emus are largely finished, so this isn't so much a feature request as a matter of asking how complicated a source change would be for a lay user. I'm no coder, but if it was a matter of changing a 640 to a 512 and a 480 to a 448 somewhby vaguerant - Homebrew Applications
Yeah, you're right, it wouldn't run Firefox except in the capacity that any other Windows program runs under DOS, which is just to say "This is a Win32 program, go away" and close. I was just being pedantic about EXEs for no good reason, sorry. A Firefox port would be pretty damn impressive, but it would be a monumental task. I've seen video of it (supposedly?) running under Linuxby vaguerant - Homebrew General
Well, EXEs existed long before Windows, and a pretty big proportion (although I wouldn't want to guess the exact ratio) of EXEs now are still in the DOS format; Firefox is just one example. That's kind of irrelevant to my point though, which is this: a DOSbox port would probably be possible (but slow, at least to begin with), and that would run EXEs, but only those in the old DOS formatby vaguerant - Homebrew General
