Hey all, just wondering if anyone would like to test out a custom HugoGX I've been working on the past couple of days. I originally just wanted to get it compiled with the new libogc libraries, but ended up fixing a bunch of junk that I thought would make it more useable for me. Fixes: - updated libfat, so you can run it off your HCSD cards, and it seems to read USB well enough as wellby gukid - Testing Corner
By "nintendo" you mean "FCEUltraGX" right? It has pretty much the same ui code (from what I can tell) as Snes9xGX, so if NES works, SNES should as well. The games that you've tried, are they zipped? If they are, maybe try unzipping them in case there are other files in the zip. Also, are you loading from an SD Card or USB? If SD, make sure it's not write protected as both of thosby gukid - Homebrew Applications
I've been using snes9x for years now, and I'm pretty sure the performance of Yoshi's Island has only gotten better. Though it's not absolutely perfect, the frameskip is hardly noticeable. Gradius 3 I'm pretty sure always had horrible slowdown at times, even on the cart. Besides, the older versions had sound skipping problems that have since been (from what I can teby gukid - Homebrew Applications
I had this problem too, but turns out that older genplusgx used the .zip file name for the .sav file, and then the newer version switched over to the roms filename in the .zip for the .sav. So the save file isn't gone, and it's still compatible, it just needs to be renamed. (Easier than when the really old versions switched from using a string of hex values for the savefile name to thby gukid - Homebrew Applications
If it were that easy, then someone would have done it already :P It would be a serious amount of work to port Kega to the Wii, and would probably require a lot of additional optimization. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Why is it that you have to test your homebrew roms on the Wii hardware? Couldn't you just test them on the PC with kega?by gukid - Homebrew Applications
I've been playing around with the playlists in WiiMC, and was wondering if anyone could help me out a little as to how they work, so that I can try to have it behave how I want it to. Some assumptions I've gotten from the documentation: - click + on a folder to queue up the folder - click + on a file to queue up a file and I've discovered, - click + on an .m3u playlist, to qby gukid - Homebrew Applications
Yeah, it worked fine with everything. Actually tonight I'll retest some stuff, like testing with fceultragx un-updated, since it'll be using the old usb code. The only thing I've tested yet, is that my usb harddrive is plugged in both ports and uses one for power. So I tried plugging only the data cable part in to one usb port, but this didn't help.by gukid - Homebrew Applications
Looks like the official 4.2.1 is out, and cIOS 202 1.1. I'm still getting a "USB Drive not found" error though...by gukid - Homebrew Applications
Well that explains it. Thanks for the update!by gukid - Homebrew Applications
Just trying my hand at compiling snes9x, and having a bit of trouble with the new version. It all compiles perfectly fine, and plays great, but there was an update recently: "updated usb2 support (now supports both ports). requires new cIOS 202." So when I run the newest revision, it can't find my usb harddrive. I'm using the cIOS 202 from the snes9xgx site, but it seems like thereby gukid - Homebrew Applications
Ah, I tested it myself by removing preloader, reinstalling 4.1u system menu and patched ios60, and still my 4 gig card is not working, but works in the system menu, and I was able to do a bootmii nand backup with it... THOUGH, my friend and I made a discovery. He is having the same problem with an 8 gig class 6 kingston sd card, but not having any trouble with a 4 gig class 2 lexar brand sd cby gukid - Homebrew General
Just a question, are we all running preloader?by gukid - Homebrew General
Can anyone confirm SDHC is working at all for them in homebrew? 4.0+ problem only?by gukid - Homebrew General
Same exact problem here. Was using a 2gig card with no problems before this. 4 gig patriod class 6 sd, formatted as fat 32 system menu 4.10 us hbc 1.0.3 ios61 v19.26 items show up in the hbc list, if i go to snes9x: "Unable to determine auto-load method", "unable to load /" genesis loads the more descriptive error of: "Error opening sd:/" and after I exit back into hbc, can'by gukid - Homebrew General
